Privacy Policy

AB Wine Academy is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all students and participants.

Personal information collected during course registration may include the student’s name, contact number, email address, identification details, and payment information. Such information is collected solely for course administration, examination registration, certification processing, and communication purposes.

Student information may be shared with Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) where required for the administration of WSET qualifications and examinations.

AB Wine Academy will not disclose personal information to third parties without consent unless required by law or regulatory obligations.

All personal data will be handled securely and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

By registering for a course, students consent to the collection and use of their information in accordance with this policy.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Full payment must be received prior to course commencement.

Cancellation requests submitted at least fourteen (14) days before the course start date may be eligible for a refund, subject to an administrative fee.

No refunds will be granted once study materials have been issued, examination registration has been submitted, or the course has commenced.

Requests for course transfers may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to course availability and administrative charges.

AB Wine Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, students may choose between a full refund or transfer to a future course date.

Examination fees are non-refundable once examination registration has been submitted to WSET.

Complaints Policy

AB Wine Academy is committed to maintaining high standards in course delivery, administration, and customer service.

Students who wish to submit a complaint should do so in writing via email within fourteen (14) days of the incident or concern.

All complaints will be acknowledged within five (5) working days and investigated fairly, professionally, and confidentially.

Where possible, a formal response or resolution will be provided within fourteen (14) working days.

If a student remains dissatisfied with the outcome, the matter may be escalated in accordance with WSET APP procedures.

Appeals Policy

Students may appeal against examination results, administrative decisions, or disciplinary actions.

Appeals must be submitted in writing within ten (10) working days from the date of the decision or release of examination results.

All appeals will be reviewed independently and fairly. Supporting documentation may be requested where necessary.

Where applicable, appeals relating to WSET examination results may be referred to WSET in accordance with official WSET procedures.

The outcome of the appeal will be communicated in writing.

Malpractice & Maladministration Policy

AB Wine Academy is committed to upholding the integrity, security, and quality assurance standards of WSET qualifications.

Malpractice includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, cheating, falsification of records, disruptive conduct, or unauthorised use of materials during examinations.

Maladministration refers to any administrative practice, omission, or procedural failure that may compromise the integrity, delivery, assessment, or security of WSET qualifications.

All suspected cases of malpractice or maladministration will be investigated fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with WSET requirements.

Where necessary, cases may be reported directly to WSET. Students found responsible for malpractice may face penalties including disqualification from examinations or future courses.

Reasonable Adjustments Policy

AB Wine Academy aims to provide equal access to WSET qualifications for all students.

Students requiring reasonable adjustments due to disability, medical condition, or specific learning needs should notify the academy as early as possible prior to the course or examination date.

Requests for reasonable adjustments should be supported by relevant medical or professional documentation where applicable.

Reasonable adjustments may include additional examination time, modified examination materials, or other approved support arrangements, subject to WSET approval requirements.

All requests and supporting documentation will be handled sensitively and confidentially.

Special Consideration Policy

Special consideration may be applied where a student experiences temporary illness, injury, adverse personal circumstances, or other exceptional situations immediately before or during an assessment.

Students should notify AB Wine Academy as soon as reasonably possible and provide appropriate supporting documentation where required.

Requests for special consideration will be reviewed in accordance with WSET policies and may be submitted to WSET where applicable.

Approval of special consideration is subject to WSET guidelines and is not guaranteed.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy

AB Wine Academy is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students.

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, nationality, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or background.

All students will be treated fairly, professionally, and with respect throughout their learning experience.

Any form of harassment, bullying, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

AB Wine Academy supports diversity and equal opportunity in all aspects of course delivery and student participation.

General Terms

AB Wine Academy reserves the right to amend course schedules, venues, educators, tasting samples, or examination arrangements where necessary.

The academy reserves the right to refuse admission or remove participants whose behaviour may negatively affect the learning environment or breach academy policies.

All WSET course materials remain the intellectual property of WSET and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without prior written permission.
